Thanks for the information, Onlooker. I looked this woman up on Wikipedia. Wikipedia says she had a perfect voice, suitable for all 'talkies', but indeed, she hardly ever got to work in Hollywood again. The French filmindustry considered her to be a better actress than Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo, after rediscovering her in the 1950's. What I find on JR on Youtube is just a load of shit, some idiocy with someone's voice dubbed over hers.
She campaigned for mandatory use of condoms in porn in the past, and completely disavowed the industry on social media 9 years ago after se quit first time round. Then after all that, she makes a comeback! I got to say, the industry is more forgiving than most. This week I read about the silent film actress Louise Brooks who was a big star until she crossed a film studio over redubbing a silent film as a talkie. She hardly ever worked again in Hollywood. IMHI, JR did far worse than that, f you go on youtube you will see what I mean
