Sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders about work relationships, although I have seen some good things come from such antics, it's become a more chancy thing to do over the years. And I guess that is what I meant by enjoying the "benefits of living in more laid back times". Things me and other guys got away with in the 80's and 90's, even into the new millennium, are ABSOLUTELY going to get you in trouble, possibly very big trouble. For better or worse, folks didn't really care back then. No need for fake IDs at bars or liquor stores. No one got pulled over for doing 4 mph over the speed limit. Drinking and driving was only an issue in extreme cases. Etc., etc., etc. And that also applied to lewd and licentious behavior in the workplace. I know for a fact my wife used her sexuality to win advantages in those times. It was not only OK, more or less, but smart, IMHO.

If you're age is what you have in your profile, you absolutely missed out on benefits of living in more laid back times. I was at a work event a few months ago and watch some of my younger coworkers buy a few of the office ladies a round of drinks, which cost no small sum of $$$. When asked why he did it he said he's done if many times and is hoping one day it will pay off for him with some special female attention. I really felt for the guy and wanted to recommend he just save up $300 and find himself a nice professional date once or twice a month. I'm sure it would save him a lot of headaches, be similar in financial expenditures, and always end in guaranteed satisfaction. Poor guy. Ha!

I wonder if she is a waitress? My wife told me she and her friend used to blow their managers at the restaurant to get better shifts.
